01 / Follow the light
- Note where light reaches the plant and whether it changes through the day.
- Use the plant’s actual conditions, not just the room’s window direction.
A little note 2
02 / Read the pot
- Check moisture and drainage before watering.
- Empty the saucer or outer pot after excess water drains.
A little note 3
03 / Notice the air
- Look for direct airflow from an AC vent.
- Measure humidity if you need a number; outdoor weather is not an indoor reading.
A little note 4
04 / Look a little closer
- Check leaf undersides and joints when a plant changes.
- Take a clear photo and compare it with your earlier notes.
A little note 5
05 / Make one thoughtful change
- Write down the symptom and what you changed.
- Use the symptom library or ask for help when the cause is unclear.

- Before another fix, take a closer look. One quiet minute can make the next question clearer.
- Look at the whole plant. Which leaves changed first? Include the pot and room in a photograph.
- Give the change a date. Note watering, a move, repotting or products recently used. A short timeline is useful context.
- A symptom can have several causes. Yellow leaves alone cannot confirm overwatering. Check the root zone, light and pests together.
